Special Areas Water Supply Analysis The Special Areas Water Supply Project (SAWSP) was proposed to improve water supplies to landowners and communities located within the Special Areas in east-central Alberta. An independent review of the benefit-cost analysis completed in support of this project was commissioned by the City of Red Deer. In this analysis Applications reviewed the analytical framework and analysis used to support the project and found that it had overstated the expected agriculture development benefits of the project and omitted significant and quantifiable costs to other users of water from the Red Deer River Basin. |
