Primary Research

Primary research involves the collection of original data via various means, including surveys and interviews. Applications does survey work in support of analytical projects. Our experience in conducting primary research includes 6,000 telephone household travel surveys, 800 surveys of employers in the Calgary region in each year since 2006, as well as various on-line and surveys and interviews.

Secondary Resarch

Secondary research involves the collection, collation and/or synthesis of existing research. Applications has completed comprehensive environmental scans and literature reviews to compile relevant data and analytical results. The success of this analytical approach depends on the ability of the analyst to synthesize information from a number of sources into concise conclusions.
