Social and Economic Indicators in Southern Alberta In support of the Alberta Land-Use Framework, Applications completed a comprehensive analysis of the social and economic indicators for Southern Alberta. These indicators provide a picture of a region’s well-being at a point in time and help create an understanding of whether the community is headed in the right direction and how far away the community is from achieving their goals. The social indicators included in this analysis address issues associated with the health, safety, well-being and education of the community. Economic indicators included gross domestic product, measures of economic diversification, employment and incomes. |
