Review of Education Funding in Canada

The funding and delivery of education services in Canada a provincial responsibility and each province has tailored the education system to meet their local objectives. Applications completed a comprehensive review of the primary (K-12) education systems in each province and territory in Canada and outlined how each system was financed. This involved the review of publicly available documents that pertained to the delivery of education services and associated budget and funding reports. In addition, each jurisdiction was contacted to review their provincial system and obtain additional information to complete a profile of service delivery and funding across Canada. This review was used by Alberta Education, in conjunction with other information, to complete a review of the service delivery and funding of education in Alberta.
