Environmental Scan Teacher & Related Occupations

For Alberta Education, Applications undertook an environmental scan of the environmental scan of selected jurisdictions regarding their current legislation, policy and practices with respect to the duties, roles, responsibilities and governance of those employed in the education system. The scan included all major occupations providing educational and related services, including: principals, teachers, non-certified instructors, education assistants, and specialized health related occupations providing services in schools. The environmental scan compared current practices in Alberta to information available for each of the following jurisdictions included in the study: all provinces in Canada, selected US states, and other foreign countries, including: Austria, UK (England), Finland, New Zealand and Singapore.
