Biosolids Financial Model

The purpose of the Biosolids Financial Model (Model) is to support the Edmonton Region’s Biosolids Management Strategy, by giving the City of Edmonton a tool to examine the financial impacts of various biosolids process options, so that sound financial decisions can be made regarding the overall management of biosolids. This stand-alone model captures the costs and revenues of various initiatives that utilize the biosolids waste stream for commercial products. The Model looks at the financial perspective of the City and incorporates all relevant costs and revenues that may be generated from each opportunity.
