Labour Redistribution/Supply Model

Applications has developed an employment supply model that projects the availability of workers by 4 digit National Occupation Classification (NOC) and 3 digit industry sector (NAICS). This model projects the available supply of workers by occupation based on the number of workers employed, unemployed, underemployed as well as changes in the number of available workers accounting for workers entering and leaving the local workforce. Migration of workers, including immigration and inter-provincial migration to the local economy is captured and flexible depending upon the local economic circumstances as compared to other regions.

This model, used in conjunction with our Employment Forecasting Model can provide detailed occupation and industry labour shortage and training requirements.
