B.C. LNG Employment Demand and Supply Forecast

The potential for the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector in British Columbia is significant. To support this potential the industry will require a large and highly skilled workforce. Applications was retained to evaluate the demand for workers, by detailed occupation, that would be required to support the growth of this industry. Detailed occupation demand projections were developed based on the growth potential in each of three industry components (production, transmission and exploration). Supply of required skilled workers was estimated using Applications’ Labour Redistribution Model. The results of this work will be used to evaluate the need for various employment training initiatives.
