Rossdale Power Plant Community Impact

Working on behalf of several Edmonton community groups, Applications reviewed the socio-economic impacts of the proposed expansion of Rossdale Power Plant to include a new natural gas fired turbine on affected communities in the City. This analysis involved the impact that proximity to the power plant and its view affected property values and associated city tax revenues. Applications’ presented expert witness testimony on the analysis and results of the Community Impact study to the ERCB at hearings on the merits of the project. Epcor has announced that it will be decommissioning the plant and several proposals for redevelopment of the site are being considered by City Council.
